“Revolutionaries and Romantics,” theme of the 2012 Brooklyn Ballet season, included my work which was far from baroque. The 20th c. took center stage. Forest Fairies and Peasant Revolt was a tribute to Isadora Duncan choreographed by Lynn Parkerson, as was Revolutionary Études. The very modern work-in-progress Spiders, Cooks and Mood Swings set to music by Stravinsky costumed all in leotards was a deviation from my usual work. I loved it all! Gil Morgenstern’s virtuoso violin was brilliant as always.
